*More About Sandhya*
Feeling stuck? Overwhelmed by your emotions? Struggling to find success? You're not alone. It takes courage to recognize the need for therapy, and I'm here to support you every step of the way. I appreciate the trust you've given me and my goal is to create a safe and inspiring environment where we can work together to bring positive change to your life.
*What To Expect from Our Work Together*
Experience therapy as a collaborative partnership. As a mental health professional, I respect your expertise on your own life. Together, we will address your concerns and achieve your goals. My sessions are straightforward, tailored to your interests and preferences. We will not only focus on your mental wellness but also explore essential habits like sleep, exercise, and nutrition to cultivate a resilient mindset.
Think of therapy as a professional friendship, where I will guide you towards inner strength. You'll find unconditional empathy, humor, challenge, honesty, feedback, and support. We will navigate the highs and lows together, and ultimately, you will emerge as the best version of yourself.
*What You Need to Know About Me*
Opening up to a stranger can be a daunting task, no doubt about it. It's like taking a leap of faith. Like I did when I left my financial job and ventured into the world of therapy. I packed my bags and left the tropical paradise of India for Chicago. Sure, I had to trade in the tropical sun for the frigid winters, but it was the best decision I ever made!
Being a therapist fills me with so much joy and passion, it's hard to describe. I remember the first day I sat in on a master's class at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and I knew right then and there that this was what I was meant to do.
Aside from therapy, my other passions include exploring the city on foot. 10,000 steps a day? No problem! I also have a fascination with learning languages. In addition to English, I speak four Indian languages, but my ultimate goal is to be able to communicate with 90% of the world by learning Spanish and Mandarin. Because nothing says "mental health advocate" like cracking jokes in multiple languages, right?
