More About Roxie

Asking for help may be difficult. I am here to assure you that help can be very fulfilling and beneficial. As your therapist I promise to meet you where you are, gently challenge you to grow, and hold a safe space for you to share what you’re ready to share. I am honored to help you create the story that is YOUR LIFE!

What to Expect From Our Work Together

I will never take you to a place you’re not ready to go. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process. I will ask you questions to help you explore and process all the things that you feel are preventing you from turning the page in your story.

I use humor, a mix of personal and professional experience, and motivational interviewing to find the answers that will help you reflect and grow in your journey. It is my job to create a safe space for you to speak, feel, and be heard. There may be times that you believe we are stuck, we don’t agree, or you feel too exhausted to show up. All of these experiences are valid and part of the process. I will always make the best effort to provide what you need, whether it’s a dive into

What You Need to Know About Me

I am a kid at heart. I love watching movies, collecting nostalgic memorabilia, and walking around a local bookstore (support small businesses!). I’m a huge nerd when it comes to Jurassic Park and will debate anyone about the Jurassic World franchise. On the weekends you can catch me on the dance floor or spending time with my family or friends.

I grew up in Cicero Il, which is near the west side of Chicago. Growing up I realized I was different from others. Once I recognized I was part of the LGBTQ+ community, I developed a passion to help others access resources that would be helpful in their own journeys.

I received my Bachelors and Masters degree at Dominican University, with a focus in Social Work. I grew experience working in case management, crisis work, and inpatient psychiatry. I received my license in clinical social work 7 years after graduate school. It’s never too late to level up! I am grateful to have chosen therapy in my career, as I enjoy working with clients throughout a span of time.
