Mitzi Arteaga Client Intake and Insurance Coordinator

First Things First

As the Intake and Insurance Coordinator at Elevate Counseling + Wellness, I am often one of the first people you’ll connect with on your journey to mental wellness. I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to make the process as seamless and supportive as possible.

From verifying insurance coverage to gathering key details about your needs, I ensure that each client is paired with the therapist who best aligns with their personality, concerns, and goals. I believe that the right therapeutic match lays the foundation for meaningful progress, and I take great care in making those connections.

I have gained this experience from working alongside mental health providers for the past two years. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate the first steps of their therapy journey. I’m here to help answer your questions, schedule your sessions, and support you in taking this important step toward your mental health goals.

I’m excited to be part of the team at Elevate Counseling + Wellness and look forward to assisting you!

What You Need to Know About Me

Born and raised in Chicago, I started my career in the medical field, earning my medical assistant certification and working in healthcare for five years. It wasn’t until I transitioned into the mental health field that I truly found my passion. I have a personal connection to this work and strongly believe that mental well-being is the foundation for a balanced and fulfilling life.

Family is incredibly important to me. I grew up in a large Mexican household where we cherished every moment together, and now I have a little family of my own—my significant other, our two boys, and our dog, Nugget. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, trying new restaurants, getting lost in a great book, and indulging in true crime podcasts.

I’m excited to be part of the team at Elevate Counseling + Wellness, helping others take the first steps toward their mental health goals.
