More About Izzy

Seeking help is a vulnerable process and one that doesn’t have to be done alone. No matter what you would like to work on, either individually or as a couple, I am committed to helping you find ways to reach your personal goals. Therapy is a unique experience that can help you learn more about yourself, feel empowered, and live a life that feels authentic to you. Let’s get started!

What To Expect From Our Work Together

While working together, I strive to provide you with a space that feels supportive, safe, and allows you to explore the different parts of yourself that you’ve been wanting to help. I approach therapy from an Internal Family Systems (IFS) perspective. With IFS, you can expect to foster self-compassion by looking at how aspects of your personality, known as your “parts”, have been trying to protect you. Through knowing your “parts” better, you will learn how to better take care of them and grow in the ways that feel most authentic to you. Alongside IFS, I incorporate other therapeutic perspectives to help you reach your unique goals.

In my work with couples, we will work to build a foundation of trust, respect, and open communication to create better intimacy and love. We will establish ourselves as a collaborative team working towards the goals that feel genuine and aligned within your relationship.

What You Need To Know About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a BA in Psychology and a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling both from Northwestern University. I’ve always known I wanted to go into a helping profession, but it wasn’t until I took a class about relationships during college that I knew I wanted to become a therapist. I am extremely passionate about helping my clients foster healthy and loving relationships with themselves and their important relationships in their life.

When I am not working with my clients, you can find me spending time with my goofy Golden Retriever, exploring different Chicago neighborhoods on my bike, and mastering my at-home matcha latte recipe. I consider myself a hobbyist at olympic lifting and have found it to be a great way to continually get me outside my comfort zone.
