How I Can Help
First Things First
Good therapy starts with a real, authentic connection. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where honesty, respect, and trust come first. We’ll work together to build resilience, overcome challenges, and help you grow into the best version of yourself.
I work with teens, young adults, and parents to help them tackle challenges like anxiety, mood disorders, perfectionism, relationship struggles, trauma, self-esteem issues, ADHD, and big life changes. With my background as a high school teacher and athletic coach, I really get the pressures and responsibilities that come with striving for success. I also have a lot of experience working with parents to help them navigate tough situations.
What To Expect From Our Work Together
As your therapist, my goal is to help you deepen your self-awareness and empower you to make the changes needed to create the life you truly desire. As a parent of young children, I have a personal passion for maternal mental health and supporting parents in overcoming the guilt and stress that often accompany the challenge of prioritizing self-care and finding balance. I am currently completing certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) and specialize in working with new mothers and women navigating the postpartum period.
What You Need to Know About Me
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Chicago and completed my clinical rotation at Compass Health Center. My therapeutic approach is rooted in psychodynamic and client-centered principles, and I am extensively trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Outside of work, I live in the western suburbs with my spouse and children. I’m an avid fan of tennis and pickleball and always seek out opportunities to enjoy the outdoors and have fun. Before transitioning to clinical practice, I spent over a decade as a high school teacher and coach, a role that continues to shape my perspective and connection with others.
