More About Diana

Every person deserves to have a safe space where they can unload the heavy stuff, explore new possibilities, and begin to heal their life. Therapy can be that and more. I’m here to help bring clarity to the things you value most and work beside you to cultivate the change and life you desire. I’ll meet you with acceptance and warmth throughout the process because I recognize the strength and courage it takes for you to be here.

What To Expect From Our Work Together

Being a teen or young adult in today’s world can be truly overwhelming. I specialize in working with teens and adults dealing with academic and school-related issues, anxiety, body image, perfectionism, depression, as well as issues related to dating and marriage. As a daughter of immigrants, I also have a special interest in working with Latine folks experiencing the many struggles of being a first or second generation Latine in our society.

I’ll hold a space that honors your story and places you as the expert of your life. I’ll strive to provide you the unconditional support and the gentle push you may be needing. Our work together may require you to sit with uncomfortable feelings that arise and challenge thought patterns and beliefs that keep you stuck.

You can expect me to ask tough questions when I sense you need them. I will use an integrative approach that honors your unique experience. Whatever challenge you may face, I’ll be by your side cheering you on.

What You Need to Know About Me

I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University and my B.A. in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to pursuing my master’s, I spent several years working in retail management.

Outside of work, I enjoy a great meal at a new restaurant or stepping onto a the yoga mat for a good vinyasa flow. My bucket list of new Chicago restaurants to try is forever growing. If you have a great recommendation for me, I’m all ears!

I am a proud second-generation Latina passionate about giving back to the communities that lack accessible mental health resources. I volunteer some of my time with the non-profit support group “Yo Soy Ella.” This women-led organization makes it possible for women of color to receive free mental and emotional wellness services during challenging times.
